Certification programs

The 4 separate, yet powerfully co-operating sections of IKSA :

  • IKSA Traditional Girevoy Sport Instructor Course

Directed to Kettlebell training enthusiasts who want to benefit from the best possible training in Kettlebell Sports.

The important aspect of the program is that it offers participants time proven championship training protocols and training methods for You to reach the full potential.

The head coach Mr Vasily Ginko is a legendary Girevoy Sport lifter with astonishing seven world championships and 2 world records ; these accomplishments along with his very personal style of teaching make him the leading girevoy sport authority in the world.

IKSA TGS course is composed of 4 levels which make them suitable for everyone from a total beginner to a high level sports professional:

Level 1

Consists of all the basic kettlebell lifting techniques (swings, snatches ,cleans, presses etc) and fundamental methods, plus as an added bonus many complimentary methods are introduced to enrichen Your everyday training routines .Techniques are broken down into details so that even people with no previous experience can start training with kettlebells. Learn the correct and most effective methods right from the start ,-this not only saves You a lot of time and money, it is also the best possible way to stay injury-free and maintain continuously developing training results with no set-backs!

Level 2

Gives more in-depth instruction and practice about different aspects of training with kettlebells – training on endurance, power endurance, strength and power.  Training in different specific qualities – special endurance, flexibility, joints activity and mobility. Special section of information about competition training : polishing the previously learned techniques, advanced power juggling, time sets, individual program design and periodization .

Also, restoration and necessary nutritional strategies are included.

Girevoy Sport is unarguably one of the most demanding sports known to man and that fact is given the utmost respect at IKSA GS courses;that is why ALL the necessary elements to make a complete lifter are covered at our workshops.

Levels 3 and 4

Designed for experienced , competition oriented kettlebell lifters.

For individuals with previous kettlebell related certifications and/or solid knowledge of basics with lifting experience, it is possible to directly take part in the level 2 course.

Price

Level 1.: 250 euros. No registration fee. One day course.

Level 2.  495 eur + registration fee  75 eur. 2 day course.

Level 3: 690 eur + registration fee 75 eur.2 day course.

Level 4 : 1290 eur + registration fee 75 eur. 2 day course.

After passing the certification test the student is given the title of t6he  official instructor and his/her name will be listed in the sport organization site ( IUKL) as well as IKSA site.

  • IKSA Fitness KB Instructor  Course.

Directed for individuals who want to develop their functional fitness skills and  professionals who want get a strong foothold in the fitness industry .

Course itself concentrates on Compact Functional Training principles originally applied in Finland since 1993 by  Mr Martti Nappari, a Finnish functional training pioneer.

The incredibly wide variety of different methods available within the kettlebell   training system is introduced by giving participants a vast arsenal of techniques  for different training purposes.In addition the concept of natural human movement  in 3-D environment in continuously emphasized, as it is the IKSA’s foundational principle  in all it’s activities. Bodyweight training , kettlebell throwing and sleigh pulling are also practised outdoors; this segment has been the crowd favorite on many of our courses.  You will also  learn some unique yet unbelievably simple and effective ways to develop mobility and flexibility as well as full range of motion strength. Proper, active recuperation is extremely important aspect of training and therefore useful methods for this are an integral part of Fitness Kettlebell Instructor course

Like all the IKSA courses, instruction is put together so that it can be immediately utilized by yourself and your clients. The instruction is divided in 2-levels.

The key factor in Compact training is the philosophy that is called a real eye opener by many people, a road for new thinking about fitness and training. Simply put the philosophy gives the 21st century trainees modern tools which enable all-around physical development even with limited time schedule.Compact methods give great respect to ancient methods and  combine them with cutting-edge science.

  • IKSA Group Training Instructor  

Group Training with kettlebells is a separate, all-in-one package for gyms

and personal trainers offering group lessons. At the  2 day course you will learn how to conduct interesting and productive group lessons applying unique exercise combinations that develop muscle strenght, cardiovascular fitness, balance,flexibility, mobility and co-ordination.

  • IKSA Strength Training Course

is an effective and fast way to get thoroughly coached in powerbased training methods.The training is led by Mr Sakari Selkäinaho, a Finland-based strength coach who has been involved with powerlifting for more than 30 years ; a world-class lifter with over 20 World and European medals in five federations. coach and training consultant. He has done strength consulting sessions with athletes and coaches in numerous sports .This experience gives Mr Selkäinaho an unfair advantage over others when teaching anything strength relared.

IKSA Strength Training -section currently offers two separate workshops:

Strength Basics

The ”Strength Basics” is a one-day visit giving You a perfect hands-on guide how to work when aiming for stronger muscles and bigger lifts.

Inside Strength

The ”Inside Strength” seminar is an intensive 2 1/2-day seminar including hands-on guidance on both upper- and lower body muscles function with one day featuring the principles of strength training. This day covers everything from methods, special strength training, periodization and overall principles.

IKSA Mobility, Clubbell and Compensation Instructor Course             sonnon

is directed for individuals who want to develop their sport and athletic longevity and for professionals who would like to provide balanced training standards for clientele interested in total, holistic wellness.

Course itself concentrates on Circular Strength Training programs, as the Head Coach, Scott Sonnon created the CST System beginning in 1996, as a International Champion Master of Sport in Russian Sambo, a multiple time USA National Sambo Team Coach and multiple record holder in the former Olympic strongman sport of Clubbell swinging. Mr Sonnon has coached UFC winners, American national hockey (NHL) and football (NFL) teams, as well as being the Master of Ceremonies for the world’s largest fitness expo - the Arnold Schwarzennegger Active Aging Festival.

Mr Sonnon was born with genetic conditions (osteochondrosis and dyslexia) which caused him to develop methods which would strengthen bodily joint health, improve mobility and enhance athletic performance. His journey took him to Russia where he studied as the first American to intern with the Russian Special Forces (Spetsnaz) in their combat sports training complex. His course focuses on American dynamic flexibility and sports performance, Indian athletic yoga, Russian joint mobility and biomechanical exercise and Persian strength conditioning exercise. These ancient disciplines are integrated with Mr Sonnon’s authored books on 21st century science of biotensegrity, biomechanics, neurophysiology, sports psychology and psychoneuroimmunology.

You will learn critical skills which will help you keep your clients in physiological balance, pain and injury free with the ability to train more and recover faster. Like the other IKSA courses, instruction is assembled so that you can implement them immediately for yourself and your clients. The instruction is divided in 3 levels:

1. MOBILITY WARM-UP: the Mobility Warm-Up will prime the specific joints to be utilized in Kettlebell and Strength Training so that you accelerate recovery, amplify results, improve performance, prevent injuries and remove pain.

2. YOGA COOL-DOWN: the Yoga Cool-Down specifically unloads the tension generated by Kettlebell and Strength Training to restore resting muscle length, prevent fascial adhesions, accelerate recovery, prevent soreness and maximize adaptation from work performed.

3. CLUBBELL COMPENSATION CYCLE: the Clubbell Compensation Cycle improves reactive strength as a “safety valve” for when movements deviate from expected skill performance in Kettlebell and Strength Training, increasing three-dimensional strength to prevent injuries, maintain mobility, increase agility and coordination, provide an off-season / off-cycle variety of training stimulus, and to improve total athletic performance by creating strength in not 3D but in 6D (the Six Degrees of Freedom.)
